American University Signs Academic Exchange Agreement with RU

Greensboro College, North Carolina has signed an Academic Exchange Agreement with Ritman University, located in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

By this agreement, staff and students of both institutions will periodically exchange lecturers as well as students. They will also share ideas, information and materials in addition to doing joint research, conferences and professional development programmes.

Vice Chancellor Celestine Ntuen signed the understanding for Ritman University while the President of Greensboro College – Lawrence D. Czarda – endorsed it on behalf the American institution on 8th August 2016.

Professor Celestine Ntuen said that this is the second in a series of partnerships that Ritman University is having with reputable universities from different parts of the world to make faculty and students meet up with international standards of learning, research and development. Ntuen had earlier signed a similar agreement with Guilford College also in the United States on 5th April, 2016.

Scholars from Ritman University who participate in this academic exchange programme overseas will have full access to university libraries and facilities at Greensboro College, while also enjoying all rights and privileges of the host institution. Faculty, staff and students of the American university will enjoy the same benefits when they visit Ritman University in Akwa Ibom State.

The programme gives students that can afford it an opportunity to broaden their intellectual and cultural horizons as they learn with scholars of another culture in a new environment. Credit units earned during exchange stay at the hosting university may count in grading of undergraduates at their home institutions.
